I'm a newbie to drag racing and finally got to take my Mustang out to the somewhat local drag strip last night.
We had a blast running it but I was disappointed in my times. I was thinking with my mods I would have been closer to 8.00 in the 1/8th.
My car is a 2012 Mustang GT 6MT
-Steeda Can tune
-Steeda CAI
-Steeda Upper and lower control arms
-Tokico D-Specs
-20" Falken RT Nova wheels
-Nitto NTO5 275/35 in the rear
-Flowmaster Catback Thunder
-FRPP 4.10 gears
Here is the first run where everything sucked
This is my second run where I gave it everything she had and spun the tires through 1st and most of 2nd. Funny part was I caught the SRT8 and won.
My thoughts are the differential should be upgraded to the Eaton True Trac and change out the 4.10's for maybe the stock 3.31's since I plan on getting the Vortech supercharger soon. I don't ever plan on running on slicks so maybe a set of 18" Weld RT wheels with a thicker tire would work better too.
What do you think would help out?
