Just make sure your parents are current on their life insurance, lol.

I see Millennials make bad financial decisions all the time.

two ways of looking at this - either it'll be that much easier to be 'above average' once we're middle-aged, or it'll be that much more likely that these people will end up voting in socialistic policies.
Exactly what I was thinking when I read the post.
I bet more than half would be like that. ****ing losers.

Most of those shitheads will never work for anything if it's always handed out to them. When you're out on your own shit gets real, real ****ing quick!!
I say it so much, even I'm tired of repeating myself. But again, we all know how this works, because we all read "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie" as kids. The more you give the more you take away their ability to self sufficient.

I can understand if you're just getting started, you might ask your parents for assistance occasionally. But, if you're anything over about 25, and still need your parents' help to pay every day bills, you should be ****ing embarrassed. Have some ****ing pride for hell's sake!

At first looking at the title I thought "that's crazy".

Then I remembered - I had to rent an apartment for one daughter because she couldn't get one in her own name (due to multiple evictions for non-payment of rent), she is on my car insurance because she had been driving without insurance for the last year, and the car she is driving we purchased and it is currently titled in my name because she couldn't get insurance in her name. And we just took her off our cell phone plan and told her it was time to get her own, so she is on a "pay as you go" plan.

Better to pay up than stab a relative in your basement

Is your daughter >25?

Don't know all the details, but seems like a lot of enabling leading to more bad decisions.

I read shit like this and am so grateful that my daughter and son-in-law are self supporting. Guess we raised her right and so did his parents

Shit - I paid my own bills through school. I was fortunate and very grateful that my parents paid my tuition, but I paid for my living expenses and rent the last 2 years when I moved off campus. Hell, I would put $2 of gas in my car (1968 LTD 2-door 390 C6 - LOVED THAT CAR!) because money was that tight. No credit card - “kids” didn’t have them back then. I lived off a bag of nickels for a month (broke an old piggy bank while home for spring break) so I could get through the year and not ask my parents for money. Taco Bell knew me well.

It sickens me that so many have the balls to sponge off their parents.

Yes she is >25. If it weren't for the fact that she has 2 kids we would have told her "sucks to be you" but my wife said we can't let her bad choices go against the grandkids. But finally getting her off our stuff. Next month the car gets transferred to her and she goes off my insurance and will have to get her own. She will have had insurance long enough that she can get car insurance. Already had her get a new lease in her name when it came up for renewal.

Tons of people still living at home with their family. Pretty lame if you ask me. My kid will NOT stay at home for a long time. 18-20 time for the BOOT.
