6lb Lower w/ a 4lb upper! Possible?

amazon racing. lower with 1 ring is $399, $499 with 2, its a metco setup. upper from him as well was $99. ive got a 2lb lower as well. he has a few cars running the 3.10/6lb combo making huge power. rob raymer is running a L (2.93) upper and a 4lb lower with no problems yet. im ordering pauls 3 core exchanger to go with it all to keep the temps down low, in the summer i will def. run the 2lb lower only.

i also read somewhere that nitrous pete was running 18lbs and a 150 shot on stock internals with fuel upgrades. rick @ amazon made the chip for the 6/3.10 setup so it should be good to go....fast

Yeah, SFPHQ sells the rings by themselves.

if you buy just a ring you will have nothing more than a heavy ass frisby. the stock pully comes on a cage, you have to remove the whole thing. the stock pully wont come off the stock cage at all, so there is no way to just replace the pully. the kit comes with a new hub for the pully, the plly, all hardware and a new adj. tensioner. 399 vs 99 and a 100 dollar pullie puller, no belt slip and the only way to get over 4lbs more than stock.

are you referring to the two different mounting posts for the idler pulley on the Metco setup or does Amazon add a tensioner?

Metco gives you the two locations for the idler pulley to "help to ease pulley changes"...it retains the OEM tensioner though.

one of the positions is for stock upper pulley and the other is for smaller uppers.

the reason I asked is because some vendor I was talking to (I can't remember who), said they were working on a replacement adjustable tensioner.
