600+rwhp and 3.08's...

Anyone running 3.08's? I have a roush blower and just ordered new pulley and intake. As I sit right now with 3.31 I'm topping 4th at 124mph in the 1/4. I don't want to shift into 5th and the way things are going now it probably won't be long before I'm topping 4th with 3.15's. Think it would be pretty sweet to have 4th good till 138mph with 3.08's. Any thoughts?:beer:

Up your rev limiter to 7500 with 331s and a 28in tire you should be good

yup like others say, up the rev to 7500, and do a 28" tire.

Sounds like a good idea. The TVS doesn't need alot of gear with all its instant tq. Pus on the street traction will be much better. If your spinnin your not winnin.

Well I have a 28 inch tire and dropped down to 3.27's I don't think you have to go that low of a gear.

If he don't have oil pump gears on a blower car I wouldn't go up with the rev limiter

i run through the traps on 275/40/18 at 134 around 7200ish on 3.31s. I wouldnt change em to that tall of a gear personally.

I have a m6 and started at 3.73's then went down to 3.55's and now I'm down to a 3.27 this is all with a 28 inch tire. With the 3.55's I was only trapping 124 at the top of 4th hitting the rev limiter a couple hundred feet from the finish so that's why I went down to the 3.27's hopefully that will prevent me having to shift into fifth.

Revving the stock motor to 7500 without oil pump gears with a blower on it is just asking for a blown motor. Put a taller tire on it and swap gears. Thats the smart way to do it.

Ive done it but i wouldnt want to do it often thats for dam sure

I have been going to 7500 with a NA setup. I'm about to put a blower on..... What do I need to be aware of? Oil pump gears?
