5.4L Cobra Fact or Fiction?

Ran across a guy with a 96 Cobra that he says came from the factory with a 5.4 motor. Said he ordered it like that.

I kind of admit Im skeptical because it was the first year for the 4.6 and a 5.4 in the car sounds a little like..........

The car looks all stock but i didnt see the motor so who knows?

Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Nope, no way at all that guy in any way shape or form bought that car from the factory with a 5.4 . Could his "1996" be a 94 or 95 because he could have bored his 302 into a 331 thus a "5.4". Even still it isnt possible from the factory. Hope I helped a little bit.
