5.0L Coyote engine spied!

Those in the know have known this was coming for a while now but to everyone else this is relatively new. This motor will be making it's way into the new Mustang and F-150 next year.

Around 400hp and 400lbft.

looks like a Gm intake and 3v valve covers mixed (cheaply) with 4v covers... looks like crap but i hope the internals are strong..

I like that its an even 5.0 and the 400 N/A hp!

I also spy some goo holding the interior resonance intake tube thing to the intake tube...good job ford

Heres a basic rundown:
4 valve DOHC
v8
5.0 liters
400hp
400tq
2011 Mustang GT and F-150 engine.
Not sure wether it's iron or alum.
Me thinks F150 version will be iron and mustang will be alum.

2011 should be an interesting year for muscle cars...The Mustang needed something with the 6.1 Hemi in the Challenger and the LS3 in the Camaro. Should make things a little closer.

Finally! With GM's V6 producing 300 hp in the Camaro, it's time Ford stepped things up.

A mustang with this engine will outdo the Camaro SS. The stang is lighter with only a few less hp and can be had with 3.73s. Not to mention a GT will be cheaper out the door than the SS.

I'm glad they finally decided to up the power a significant amount. With all the new 400+ HP factory cars out now, they really didn't have a choice.

Yeah and considering GM's new v6 is putting out as much as fords 3 valve in the last GT.. i would say it was way overdue..
