But the fox's were my era, I was used to them, that was before you can google how to do stuff on them. Now having a mod motor, its out of my comfort zon although there are many resources around for tips and guides.

The 5.0 only for my birth year. But if the C head 4V is in the comparison that has my vote.

Pick your poison.

For me it depends on the car. I learned on pushrods and carbs. But I like my 4V. You just need to learn the steps for things then it gets easier to work on.

So for a classic or Foxbody pushrods. For my Cobra the 4V.

That fact that the blocks start splitting on the 5.0s under 500hp is what originally turned me away from them. If I had started with a 5.0 and put as much money in a sbf as I have the 4.6 I would have a nasty little motor though.

4V 4.6. Forge it and you can boost it to the moon and I love the way it sounds when you rev it to the moon.
