I've been searching around, called Lentech and read Dave King's article, but I have a couple questions if you guys can help me out from your set ups. I have a completely different set up then the Cobra, I have a 1996 Thunderbird with a 5.0 Coyote that will be a street car and autocross / drag once or twice a year. I have a nicely built 4R75W from a 04 Mustang GT with a Circle D converter. I want to get the Hurst black pistol grip quarter stick and the Lentech AODE/4R70W Strip Terminator Valvebody (Manual Shift).

Some questions:

Should I buy the B&M 40504 Lever bracket kit to make the Hurst quarter stick work with the provided cable? What other parts are needed for the Hurst style shifter?

With the Lantech MVB, when you shift into 3rd, to get 4th (OD) you have to wire a button to do so? Does the wiring go strait to the valve body or on one of the main connections on the transmission?

Unfortunately, the Hurst Pistol-Grip Quarter Stick Shifter, part #3162010, is not compatible with an AODE/4R70W valve body. However, our sister company B&M does produce an automatic shifter which looks fairly similar to the Pistol-Grip Quarter Stick and is compatible with the AODE/4R70W valve body. For more information, give us a call at 707-544-4761 and we can get you taken care of.
