Any reason to suspect the MAF sensor? Or am I off base on that? I ask because when I had my old GT with a fenderwell intake, the MAF was relocated down in the fender as well. Long story short, coupler came loose so the MAF and filter fell off. The car would start, but it ran rich as hell and would die unless I gave her some throttle input.

All great checks especially the codes.
Does it sound like the fuel is getting pressure during key turn overs without starts?
Pump out your gas and get new 93 maybe some octane boost to help clean it out.
If you havent changed the plugs do it.
Check intake, vacume lines, MAF, Throttle body connections.
These guys on he wont steer you wrong

Check for codes is the obvious starting point. From there start with the basics. Black smoke indicates overfueling and the fact that you just yr fuel in the car points in that direction too but don’t let that give you tunnel vision on a fuel issue

Check for spark

And you’re sure the FRPS isn’t blown?

Would be odd to fail while cruising.

I changed sparks today. They were fouled as can be. Fresh plugs didn't cure it. Could it be a bad frps? I put a brand new one in there. Maybe try another? Or unplug MAF and see if she stays on?

How long have you cranked it? Some people have had the entire lower intake fill with fuel. That's a lot of fuel to get out.

Quite a bit. But it will start running for like 30 seconds idle down nicely then cut off randomly.

Have you cleared the codes to see what comes back?
Definitely a fueling problem, plugs fouled, O2 sensors stuck on high. Do you get fuel from the exhaust when it does run? Although 30 sec may not be long enough, sounds like new O2 sensors will be in order. As mentioned You could have a manifold full of fuel by now. Have you pulled the dipstick to see if there is fuel in the base? With that much overfueling it wouldn’t surprise me. I would do an oil and filter change befI ran it anymore. And Do another once the issue is solved

Had a similar issue and it turned out to be a vacuum leak. Unplug the MAF and start the car. if it starts easily and smooths out, that's probably your issue.

I unplugged MAF after starting car like the video online said. It ran super bad and was almost like leaning out instead of shooting its normal black smoke.

I would clear the codes, see what comes back after a couple of start ups. Was the FRP sensor that you replaced a motorcraft unit? Does the car have any fuel delivery mods? Check fuel pressure too.
