Train Derails Outside Cridersville
Eighteen cars of a CSX freight train carrying new automobiles derailed on the southern edge of the village of Cridersville in Auglaize County Sunday morning.
No one was killed or injured in the derailment but power was cut off for awhile for about 1,200 homes in the area.
The 77-car train was en route from Detroit to Louisville, Kentucky.
The cause of the derailment hasn't been determined.
The derailment site is about 75 miles northwest of Columbus.
