4 liter swap??

I just bought a 98svt. I hear every one talking about swapping in a 3.0 Taurus engine. What about a 4 liter from a ranger or explorer?

IIRC, 01-04 VIN S motors our of Taurus or Escape. Either CEG or NECO have a detailed write up on it.

apparently Lincoln ls' have 4 liter duratech engines, anyone know what kind of bell housing those have compared to the svt 2.5? obviously there rear wheel drive but who knows, maybe there swappable

The Lincoln LS has a 3.0 v6 and 3.9 v8. I don't think either one will fit into a Contour very well.

IIRC Terry Haines tried the whole LS 3.0l and gave up on it. The bottomline (IMO) is that 99% of CSVT guys don't have the money (or put the money into a Mustang, etc) to put some elaborate motor in the CSVT. That's the great thing about the Duratec 3.0L swap is its relatively cheap and easy to do.
