I had 4.30's. The car was amazing. I now have 4.56's installed and I would still drive the car daily. Going from a 3.27 to the 4.30 is going to make the car feel like you dropped a large shot of Juice on it. I even felt a difference when I step up to the 4.56.

Good info, thx guys...Im far from a newbi but from what i read throughout the years w/ these dohc's it seemed like 456's were more track oriented and 430's was a agressive street gear. Great, when the time comes 456 it is. Anything special needed for 456's besides an install kit & speedo calibrator?

hell yea he will need to grind the crosspin, also 4:56's are gonna wake your car up like you wont believe. If wasnt running a N20 setup I would def go with a 4:30 or 4:56

Just outta curiosity - what are the RPMs at while doing 60 (provided the computer has been recalibrated) for 4:56 gears?

For the juice I wouldnt go bigger then a 4:10. I fear you may run out of gear on the top end. (i made that rhyme on purpose)

my car is 2050 at 60 w/ 4.30s. I have a 26.13 diameter rear tire and a 0.62 5th gear.

Taking a standard tire size (25.68 inches overall diameter) and a 0.67 5th gear (standard) it would be at 2398

I loved the 4.56s when I first got them. But I found the car to appear to be a bit slower from 1-3 compared to my 4.10s. I literally thought that my installer goofed up. But when I hit 4 & 5 in my 01, oh what a difference. Very high rpms when you get to 80mph in 5th but I wish I had gobe from 3.27 to 4.56 right from the get go. Very easy to live with as a DD.

Good info...lol are u talkin about wicked motorsports in wall on 34....hope your not dealing w/ brian...I brought my LT1 camaro there to get 373's installed in the late 90's when they were still on the circle on 35 and it took them almost a mth. and a half for the install...no BS. Everytime I called on the status they gave me another run around. I still hear dudes complaining about that place til this day :-D ...Never again. The dick also had the nerve to tell my mother that if i didnt stop racing my car id ruin it...funny thing is I drove it like an old man 90% of then time....Good Luck.
