4.10's worth it???

Ok...I have a steg stage 4, 2.8 upper, 2# lower, exhaust, cai, tune, blah blah....

Would 4.10's benefit me? Or hurt?

I will be adding a 75-150 shot in the future too...

Basically I want to out run ZO6's and Viper's on the street without the juice.

I know gears tend to lower ET, but also mph too...mph is torque related though also, so wouldn't steeper gears increase torque? (not dyno related, but acceleration related)

+1. Your top end will be really shitty and good luck getting traction down low. Go with that or 3.73s.

well then I don't care....I doube 3.73's will offer me that much more acceleration vs the 3.55's....

Basically I want to hit 11.50's @ 125 off the bottle....and maybe 11.0's @ 130-131 or better with a 100 shot

3:73's or 3.90's. This is from a guy that has 4:11's. I would say
3:73's would be perfect, but they are so close to the stock 3:55's.
If your going add gears and spend the money I guess 3.90's would be
the best choice, its right in the middle, where she likes it.

I have almost your same mod list and am running 11.40s with my vert (w/o spray), stock gears. If you spray a 75 shot on 3.90s you will have to shift into 5th in a true 1/4 mile race making you go slower. The gears will help you if you convert to a 28" tall tire. I do very well out on the streets against most anything out there.

would be a plus when I bought it, then I realized,
these cars don't need it, plus 10 mpg kinda sucks.

Bought my '04 this past Saturday. It's got a few mods, and I think there may be a few I'm not aware of. Wanted to rule out gears, I'm pretty confident they're 3.55 stockers, but was hoping you all could help me out. I'm doing 2 grand doing 70mph in sixth, does that sound about right to everyone?

That's not too much higher, I'm surprised. I have heard mixed opinions about 4.10's. To people with 4.10's, how hard is it to hook up? Would 3.90's be a good compromise? I agree with those who have said 3.73's aren't worth it, that they are too similar to the 3.55's.

i have 4.10s for 2 years now and love them! bought bfgs drs and now nittos drs and never had a problem hooking up and learn to control your throttle in 1st! you will hook w/drs!!! 4.10s= street brawler! :burnout::burnout::dancenana::dancenana:
