hey guys, i searched the thread, but nothing really helpful.

i don't really care about gas mileage, i'm getting about 24.5 now on the highway. i drive 70 miles a day plus, and its all highway. i want to put a 4:10 in my car, i was wondering if it would cause more stress on the motor from being up in the powerband that far?
i know i'll be turning around 2500 rpms...i won't be driving the car that long with them in, probably till the end of the year or so till i get a daily driver! thanks alot!

oh yeah, the car is a 5 spd, basic bolt on's. non-pi.
i'm going to be building a blower motor for it after the year is over...streetable use of course, with a t-56.

I have 3.73's in my 93 coupe and spend most of my highway drive in the right lane.

Yes you can drive on the highway with 4.10's but with a 70mile/day commute it's not the way to go. A blower motor is another reason to stay with a higher gear.

Unless you compliment the deep gears with drag tires you will have no traction in the lower gears. So what you gain in potential acceleration you lose in traction.
