ok guys, i know this topic has been beat to hell and back...

but i got a set of FMS 4:10's and i have a opportunity to trade for a new set of FMS 3:73's..

my car is my DD, roughly see's 70 miles a day commute. All freeway driving around 70-80 mph. I'm getting around 28mpg now.

would you guys go with the 4:10 or 3:73? I know the 4:10 will get me out of the hole quicker, but i don't want to loose any mph at the track with them.

thanks alot!

Since it is a daily driver and mostly freeway 4:10's are overkill. If you track drive your car alot, I mean alot, then 4:10's might be ok. Seventy miles a day is a bunch of miles, and with 4:10s you are putting alot more wear on the rotating assemblys. Listening to the exhaust is great but after 70 miles a day at the higher rpm's you might get sick of it. FWIW.

I'd stay with the 4.10's. I drive the freeway everyday, about 40 miles, and there is no way you would get sick of them. 28 miles/gallon is huge, I don't break 20. Stay with them, you will be fine at the track. My .02
