Im getting ready to sell the 96 with 88k miles on the clock. I need to fix the misfire first or its likely to hurt me. It bogs/jerks pretty bad under medium-hard acceleration. Id imagine the coil packs/plug wires are factory. I swapped out the plugs about a year ago. I dont want to get a bunch of money tangled up in guessing where the problem is. Swapping out the plugs/wires should fix it right? Im not familiar with the life on coil packs so who knows if the issue is lying there. If everyone agrees this is the easiest and cheapest solution to start on let me know. If not give me some pointers.

Thanks!

Need to also consider the possibility that there is an issue with the injector in #3.

Yeah but heres the thing. I pulled the plug on cylinder #3 (Autolite 764) and changed it. It looked good. Gap was good. When I swapped it out and took it for a spin, it rode a little smoother. It still had its hiccups but not near as bad. So Im guessin its somewhere from the coilpack-plugwire-plug.

Well Ill start with swappin the plugs and wires and see how it acts.

Thanks fellas!
