Guys I have been researching this and have not been able to figure it out completely. I am guessing there is very little difference in performance between the 373 package and 355 stand alone option due to the tire height 18 vs 19 rims which would offset the gear ratio. The difference may come in with the better traction of the wider summer tires for the performance package. Now I have seen on the old 2014 track packages that redline of 7000 would allow you to go 114 in fourth gear. Would it be the same for the 15? I was really hoping to be able to get more than 114mph and maybe I should have went with the 3.55 stand alone option to get up 117 in the 1/4. although I may have a taller tire when I put the slicks on.

You could get the 3.55's in a 15 PP car? That's pretty awesome. I would probably pay to get them over the 3.73's. Don't love them. In my 14, they're too much gear for the HPDE event I went to and I think it's too much for the 1/4.

Gears are a preference thing. Go test drive a PP to see if it's for you. If I could go back I would get the PP...
Strictly 1/4 mile I'd go with the auto.

In my 15 pp with 3.73 gear i crossed the line hitting rev limiter in third gear at 125 mph. i had also hit it in 2nd on the same run. i do have the m/t et streets on it that are 305/35/19

I will probably swap out my 3.73's for 3.55's. The MT82 has insanely low ratios to begin with. People run great numbers on 3.31's with MT82's as well.

so basically if I am happy with 114mph traps and a few bolt ons 373's are the way to go.

It was a very hot day with da at 3500. Not sure but I think I could squeeze out a 116 on a perfect day. 3.73 is a great gear if u like going through grears and enjoying the shit out this type car. But if you boost ,a smaller gear is a must. A taller tire makes up for the gear
