If I keep the car in any gear and slowly increase in RPM when I get to about 3500 the car sort of hesitates.
I will smooth to 3500 and then it seems like it drops off and then it comes back on.
Anybody have any ideas?

They are set to open at 3250 but there is a slight delay and the tach isn't 100% accurate.

But that is what you feel.

I dont think they are sticking.
I just never felt that before. It feels like it flows better when they open but torque drops down.

They are definetly sticking. Have your codes checked. Mine been sticking but don't throw a CEL. When I read my codes it's there. I have an AeroForce gauge that plugs into my computer and reads codes and what not. You can try to do a Seafoam treatment, but that's just a quick fix. Or rip apart the intake and clean them manually or delete them all together.

What causes them to stick?
Carbon?
The car only has 6000 miles on it so I would be surprised if there was a carbon problem.
I will check the codes tonight.

Put it on a dyno and you will see the TQ drop when they open.

Mass air sees more air, fuel pump kicks on high takes the ECM a split second to adjust.

A good tune will get rid of it.

The weird thing is that not all do it and those that do don't do it all the time, mine started to really feel it at around 40,000 miles, around 60K it wasn't as bad but did show on the dyno.
Got it tuned and it went away.

I was planning on doing a tune in the future so this will push me a little faster.
I was waiting on a few other mods to be completed before doing the tune.
People tell me this is the best route to take.

BTW

What kind of tuner and who did your tune?
Also, what kind of HP/TQ change did you see with your tune?

SCT chip tuned by a local shop down here.

We road tuned it not Dyno tuned because at the time I was running road course so HP #s were not my concern. He could data log and make adjustments for real world driving in my case.

So I never saw the #s difference.
