Not you again.

Well, I'm out, someone has to step up. LOL
I've prepared and crewed race cars for multiple disciplines, have spent easily 100 days at the race track and have a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I'm not a ****ing idiot looking for a handout. I'm disappointed the "Cooler kit" ended up being a transmission change and cooler kit and costs what it does.
Wait, you're surprised it cost 3k for the coolers?
To get the coolers on the 16 costs 3k.
To get the coolers on the 17 costs 3k. Why in the hell would coolers cost less aftermarket than they do as an oem option?
Nah. A lot of the times its cheaper to order it on the vehicle, no labor.Cause OEM options are marked up hella high?
I'm going to start a new lawsuit. My tech car "show car" didn't come with hood struts instead Ford was cheap and put a prop rod. It blocks the view of the engine. I want my $119 back that it cost me to buy and install.

A 2016 with Track Pack added $6500
A 2016 with Tech added $7500
There's no "option" to add coolers to a 2017...no idea where your number comes from. But to answer that question, I've bought heat exchangers and lines for other race car projects or to add for towing; they're not expensive even at 1 per volumes.
Prop rod is for weight savings.
But it's not a track car so why would we care about weight!
My Tech car runs 80 to 100 degrees hotter on the street than a Track or R car. Tell me that won't be a problem long term. 250 degrees normally on the street is too much when cooler equipped cars are at only 160. Stop and go traffic seems to really heat things up especially with a passenger. I don't want something for nothing. I bought a new transmission and coolers but unfortunately I don't get any sort of warranty for them.
I guess Ford didn't notice almost all their GT350s were selling @ ADM and didn't want to raise the price to grab some of that value for themselves, it was just for coolers, right?
The parts wouldn't be covered under his new vehicle warranty because, obviously, they weren't installed on the car from the factory. However, I bet he has a separate Ford Performance warranty on the tranny and coolers IF they're installed by an authorized dealer.
lol
At the end of the day. I get where both sides are coming from. It's an unfortunate circumstance for all involved. Ford should've been more upfront that the Tech car should NOT be tracked...and buyers shouldn't have expected a Tech car to be able to be tracked when there is a Track Pack car available.
Cheers.
Based on what I read, a cooler kit (and a spring change) seemed easier than the Tech systems integration; nobody could tell me if the wiring was in place in a Track to put in the Tech center stack. Plus I wanted the Tech seats, not the Recaros.

It's splitting hairs. The Tech still comes with all the track tips materials. Any GT350 is still far far more track oriented than say a Mustang with PP...but, and last time I'll bore everyone with it...the proof is in the pudding. They messed up compared to customer expectations (which were largely influenced by Ford marketing) with the 2016 Tech and quit making them in favor of making all 2017 GT350 cars Tracks.
