Just lookin for some opinions and maybe experience you guys have had with a 35 sidewall on the L. The only way I have found to go wider in the tire department is to either go up from a 40 side wall or down to a 35. Im thinkin 45 with a 20inch rim might be just a little too big. But then again I dont like that look of all rim and no tire and really rough ride. Pics would help If you have any. Why did they stop making the nitto in 305/40/20!!!!

Personally, I think a 40 series 20" tire in a 295 width is about perfect on a 9" or less rim. A 35 is just too narrow a sidewall and looks out of place imo.
I run a 295x40 on 20" reps which is less than 1" taller than the factory 18"
45 series tires.

You're gonna have to suck it up and go with the 35! LOL I am running on a 295/30/23.. I think it looks sweet 
.. But yea.. either go up to a 315/35 or go down to a 295/40 and you'll be happy.. the 35 may be a bit too skinny for your liking..

ill post some pics in a few of my 20's with 40 sidewall. they ride like complete shit since they are so stiff. and 35's will make it worse. but its up to u
just dont hit any small potholes.....rims bend easier the smaller the sidewall

i run 295/35/22 i havent had any problems but then again i havent had them that long
I'm just gonna be stuck getting 295-40-20's again. They look perfect, I just wanted a wider tire for some more traction. I wish they made some better options for the 40 sidewall.

I can back that up!!!!! I have been through two sets of rims on my truck already with 35s. Both were some pretty extreme potholes but broke the rims none the less. Just have to be careful!
