i have a question, i know nitto 555rs run narrower than other drag radials but i came across 2 335 -35 or 40 (not sure) 18s with over half left on the tires for 20 a piece at a local used tire shop and i was wondering if they would work on a 9 inch wheel

no way, putting them on a 10" wheel is the lowest you can go.

Are you running those in the front or the back?
305s will definitely be out back.
Widest Ive seen on the front was 285s, but he still had stock suspension.
