Its time to buy new tires for the rear I have nitto 275/40 17 555s on the front and i want to try and squeze a 315/35 on the back. I am running a 9.5 in. rim. Has any one ran this tire size on a my rim size on a 01 cobra? Also will the tires scrub the finderwell?
Thanks Guys!

What brand tire are you going to use? if there Nittos U won't have a problem cause they run a little smaller then let's say BFG's

you can run a 315 with 9.5" rims on the back but its going to look weird though. Im running 275s on the front and 315 but with 10.5" of course.

You might can get by with the 315 Nitto's because they seem to run a shade smaller. I have Nitto 315's on back of mine, but on 10.5's and I will be going with a different brand next time because on my 10.5's the Nitto's look actually a little small for the wheel. Man, I'm only about 40 miles from you, I live in Moultrie. We should meet up some time.

Cool Jamie I have another friend here with a 01 cobra also w/ only 10k miles on it you sould come over and hang out with us sometime. P.M. me with you cell # . I dont know if you have a cai, but i have a c&l intake you may be interested in.

I had 275/40 555s on the front and 275/40 555rs on the rear at one time and the drs wasnt as wide as the front 555s. This is why i am trying to figure out what size to put on the rear.

Whishing why do you say it will look weird?

No on has had any fenderwell scrubing issues with the 315/35. I know thats going to put the tires real close. Just wondering if its scrubs when you drop tire pressure.......?

I run 315 Nitto drag radials on a 9" wide rim with no problems. They do bulge, but it's not bad. I don't have any rubbing issues either. I put it the MM allen bolt, but it turns out I didn't need it.

Will a 315/35/18 fit a saleen rim 9 inch? The rim is real close to the lip of the outer fender and the 285/35/18 have fender rash from being to low-h&r ss. Should i stay with the 285's or can i move up a couple of mm's.

Stick with the 285's.
