3.27 gear impressions, holy cow!

I have 3.55's right now but am planning on swapping to a solid with 3.27's. Will the car need to be retuned since it's loading the turbo sooner etc.. because I was having issues going lean in 4th gear with my car, had to have it re dyno'd a few times with more and more load added to compensate.

+4 on the 3.55's to 3.27's!

3.27s?? i'm not to familiar with gears.... what benefits does this combo offer? is it better to use 3.27s for a turbo setup and 4.10s for a TS? im just asking bc i am going turbo soon and want to get all i can out of it.

3.27's would put more load on the car and for a turbo since it builds boost, that would be more beneficial over 4.10's.

my 03 cobras rear went,i put in 327s.they are ok untill i tryed to drive quietly,,too much lugging for me,went with 373s..they quick ,but we drive 90% highway at 80mph..i like to try 331s this time,,,the car always feels like im in 4th when in 6th,,,,,:beer:

the transmission makes a difference too. my 5th gear is at perfect 2500rpm cruising at 80mph on the highway. Responds very well with the 3.27s in there no lugging. But your six speeds gears are a little differently spaced out so it may not be as well. What rpm are you turning in 6th gear at 80mph?

IICR,2400.with 373s...and with the 327s 1800rpms,,,stock i think was 2000-2100,,,,,, i had also thought about changing 6th to a .50 like the others..my trans is just starting to make the dreaded noise.(front bearing)225 k on it and rear has been viberating for a year now,,,I would like to do 6th with a .50 and 331s in the rear..
