2V cam choice

Hi guys. my vehicle is in need of some new valvesprings and i was reccomended by my mechanic to also install some new camshafts aswelll... im thinking i want a stage 2 or stage 3 cam BUT in canada we have strict emissions laws somewhat like california... with that being said, what cam would be the best for my setup....

for a power adder i am using a 75 shot of nitrous....

any help greatly appreciated...

yea he is a great guy.

i was using it as my DD but now it will be a weekend warrior.... it has the following...

K&N cai
bbk throttle body and plenum
march ud pulleys
mac o/r h pipe
flowy super44 catback
3.55s
75 shot of nitrous...

IMO- You don't have enough exhaust or gear to go stg 3

i would go with the stg II with your set up.

if you go with a stage 3 cam every 4 cyl car is gonna to mop the floor with you off the line. comp 262h would work well

Anyhow, the Comp Cams 262ah cam would be a great choice for your setup. As you don't have enough rear end gear or long tube headers to really use the Comp 270ah cams. And what happened to your valve springs if you don't mind me asking.

i was thinking the 270ah... but not 100% sure yet. apparently they have some "float" coming in around 4500 rpm with the nitrous on..... :'(

The .534 that you are referring to is lift

yeah i figured it out last night. so im gonna go with the 270ah. and change to 3.73s or 4.10s in the rear....

don't waste your time with 3.73's just go ahead and make the jump to 4.10's.

I would have to agree. And start saving up for some LT's if your serious about the 270ah's

Remember to specify AH- This means PI heads. They have .550 lift as opposed to the non PI, which have .500

You need to get long tube headers and 3.73's, (but 4.10s are better) before you ever bother with those 270ah cams. Bigger is not always better for everyone.

if i went with the ah262 cam would that be better for my setup i have now ( stock headers,3.55s)

Yes it would suit your setup you have now.
