Went back to Ohio Valley tonight and got three runs in. Much happier then a week ago. Dropped the Kuhmos down to 26-27psi this time. Seemed to work much better. Was launching @ ~2k. No videos this time, no one was there with me that wasn't running.

Previous week ran a best (I use this term loosely) of 8.95 @ 90mph

1st Run
Reaction - +.3329
60ft - 2.3262
330ft - 5.9771
594ft - 8.3009
1/8 mile - 8.8059
MPH - 89.10

2nd Run
Reaction - +.2100
60ft - 2.2019
330ft - 5.7651
594ft - 8.0077
1/8 mile - 8.4971
MPH - 91.95

3rd Run
Reaction - +.4680
60ft - 2.1849
330ft - 5.5900
594ft - 7.7891
1/8 mile - 8.2799
MPH - 91.68

Overall I'm much happier than the 1st time. Now I need to find a good set of spare wheels and get the nittos mounted.

Side note: the 3rd run I was lined up next to a MKIV with anti-lag. He was nice and sat on the line and let me go. He ran a 7.17 @ 107.

Good runs, tha MKIV is hauling ass!

Thanks.

There where actually 2 identical (same color, same wheels, etc) MKIVs there. They sounded amazing. I have to admit that watching a car pull up to the line, and start hitting anti-lag was pretty awesome.

The car sits as I bought it so this is the list from the previous owner:
Posi-Ported Blower
Ported lower intake
Ported Dragon
2.9upper, 6lb lower
Bassni Exhaust
60lb injectors
Custom tune
Previous dyno numbers of 530/570

The more I think about it, I am a little worried about the supposed power. I do plan on taking it back to the dyno once I get a wideband, but I'm trying to find a used one I can save a few bucks on.

I know the previous owner ran a 7.4X @ ~97, but this was on some real tires.

The power numbers sound right. Its just going to take some seat time and some tires, idk if the Nittos will do your car justice I would pick up some Mickeys. Do you do a burnout at all to heat the tires?

I tried a burnout on the first run and just got tons of wheel hop so I let out. I didn't want to break an axle so I just didn't do one after that. I'm hoping that some stickier tires will solve this problem.

Sticky tires help with the wheel hop, if you dont have a diff cover brace get one before you put any kind of tire on it.
