Just lowered my Cobra on H&R Race Springs. Gonna pick up a set of 18x10.5 for the rear and was wondering with a 295 Tire, will I need to change to a low profile IRS bolt. Any spacers needed?

I ran a 18x295 Continental on 18x10.5 AFS wheels. I had to use the low profile bolt but it rubbed only when the suspension hanged. So I used a 1/4" spacer with them to ensure no rubbing anytime. You might want to pay closer attention to tire section width rather than 295...there is no industry standard on sizes so one 295 can be wider than another 295. Hope this helps.

Was gonna run the new Conti Extreme Contact Sport. Not sure if they are as wide, as say a BFG or Goodyear. This will be my first experience with the Conti.....

Each car and rim/tire set is different. I had 10.5 Cobra replicas on my car with Sumitomos and they didn't rub. Swapped to my FR500's with Nitto 555R's and it rubbed the fender. Just needed to roll it a little. The G2's rub the fender on the same FR500's. So I need to roll it a little more. I do have the low pro IRS bolts, but the only time the tire hits is when I jack up the car and the suspension is at full droop.

Think I'm gonna pick up a set of FR500 in 18x9-18x10, 275/35/18 up front, 295/35/18 out back, Contis......

Iam on H&R race springs, ran a 295 BFG KDW with AFS replicas no issues, like mentioned earlier, when car was lifted of the ground it came extremely close the upper IRS bolt.

I ran a 18x10 with 315 Toyo proxes TQ lowered on H&R Sport Springs. Only thing I had to do was roll the fenders. No bolt swapping or anything else

I have 18x11s with a 295 NT555 G2 tire. Tire sits perfect with rim and I did not change anything other than a tiny spacer so the center cap would snap on the wheel

You need to look at section width. They are all different. I ran 295 KDW II's on 18x10.5 reps without issue. I think the section width was 11.9. Continetals section width is around 12.0 I think. Not much difference but still needs to be looked at.

The G2's definitely run wide. My 315 G2's are about a 1/2" wider than my old 315 555R's.

I put 285's on an 18x10 and they fit perfect.

Yea they surprised me. I’m used to Nitto running smaller. These are almost if not the same as my old 315 555Rs

Nitto puts the specs on their website so that helped. These are good DD tires for a decent price.

I could not find 305 or greater in 18s unless it was a radial or Michelin’s $400 a piece

Man I didn’t hear of / see those tires. Any photos?

I don't man sorry. I put them on towards the end of summer and only have about 50 miles on them before putting the car away for the winter.

They got good reviews and I was looking for a more "all around tire" after my nitto drags.

This is the only pic I have before putting her away. Not a good tire shot though.
