why would you want to run such a wide tire on such a narrow rim. the maximum i would go on a 9 inch wheel is 255. on a 19 x 9.5 you wouldn't want to go much more than 295. those running a 285 on a 9 inch wheel really don't know much about functionality. I would love to see you guys take your cars on the road course with bulging sidewalls lol.

i think what you don't realize is, 90% of the people here don't road course their cars therefore they don't need a stiff sidewall. They drag race instead, and they go with a high sidewall tire that flexes... that's why they go with "wider-than-usual" tires on their rims.
