Anyone running a 295/35/19? I'm thinking of up grading the rear tires to a wider tire, if anyone is, can they post a few pictures? Thanks

What width rim? You may be able to get away with it. Are you lowered? I'm running Bmr springs and 19 sve wheels with 275/40/19 tires and I've put a few hundred miles on it with no rubbing.

275/35/19 all the way around on my RTR. My wheels are 19 x 9.5. im sure a 285 or 295 would work but i would prefer to get a wider wheel first. like 19 x 10 then run 305

i track my car and have had no rubbing issues

not meaning to thread jack. but to the OP it is very possible to run a 295 with the right wheel setup. dont try it with less than a 10 inch wide wheel. If you want to see more of my car check out my facebook [email protected] send me a message so i know who you are.

I plan on upgrading to 295's when I wear out my 275's. They should fit fit on my 9.5" wide rims.

they will fit but its not the best fit. depending on what tire you use it will bulge therefor not making it the best functional setup. my car has 275/35/19 on a 9.5. i cant get a 295 because it isn't good for my track use. you can do it but the sidewall will have a lot of flex in it.

Really? I have seen 305's on 10 inch wide rims and they look bad ass. Understand completely about sidewalk flex, especially for autocross though. My plans are for a different set of wheels with NT01's for track use.

O/P if your looking at upgrading tires for your stock 19x9's i think a 285/35 would be about the limit.

I really like that hood stripe. Where did you get that?

I run 275/40-19's on my 19x9" wheels and to me that's as wide as I want to go.

I've heard people that like the BFG tires in this size but I personally wouldn't use them. I'd drop to a 295/30/19 and go with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. They're a lighter tire and gets more revolutions per minute. While more expensive, I've never heard one negative thing about them.

285's on a 19x9 wheel? Not the best idea. You'd have some sidewall flex.

Negative, Given your keeping the stock tire size 255/40(27' tall) up front. A 285/35/19 is roughly 26.9' tall keeping overall dimensions very close to stock, gives a beefier tire out back for all general drag strip use and daily driving. Not trying to start another tire size war, but i highly doubt o/p's use will be for a corner carving machine judging by his question.

Friend of mine's ISF runs a 285/35 on a 19X9 wheel
Seen multiple local guys 5.0's run a 285/35 no problems

My friend and I have been running 285's on the back of our brembos wheels for a while now. The tire does NOT buldge like all these people on here are stating. The normal width for a 9 inch rim is a 275, the 285 is just 10mm wider, that's a buldge of 5 mm per side, which is barely noticeable. The factory 255 is actual slightly under sized for a 9 inch rim. My friend and I both noticed better handling and a more neutral feeling thru the turns. The people that haven't done it really should not comment about it in my opinion.
