Just bought 18x9.5 tsw nurbrugring on my brembo 5.0. Buying michelin super sport tires and was going to get 275/ 40/18 but the 275/35/18 are 200 dollars cheaper on tire rack. Are the 275/40/18s worth the 200 dollars more.

Well, considering the 275/35 is advertised more than an inch shorter than the 275/40 (25.6 vs 26.7) , Go with the 275/40.

This! A shorter tire will also look a little funny in the back. I have 305/35/18 Nitto 555Rs out back and they are still a tad short, even in a wider width...Wish I had gotten a 40 series tire, speedo was also off a couple mph around 70 as well.

If I were you, I'd consider 285/40 all the way around. That would be a fatter tire and would be closer to stock height.

25" tires really look funny especially if you are stock ride height. I have the 40 series on 18's and even those look a little small IMO

If you dont care about the look or are running a square setup for the road course then id say have fun and save some money for track days, otherwise for a DD car id run the taller 40 series
