I've run 275/40 17's on a 9" rim, on all four corners of my 2004 Mach 1 for years. It's got MM 4-bolt CC plates, Eibach Sportlines, Tokiko Illumas -- I'm not a straight line guy -- but I do daily drive it (130,000 miles so far).

The Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas I've been running are now discontinued in that size, which sucks, because I loved them - and sucks even more since I have two relatively new ones on the back, but now need two new tires for the front.

After much research, I'm leaning toward the BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp 2 (not A/S) - I don't want to spend more than about $225 per tire, so that rules out MPSS's, etc. I don't care about road noise, dry handing is the most important, but they can't suck in the wet.

All comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you for reaching out to us, Dave.

You picked an excellent tire. The Sport Comp 2 delivers predictable handling and certainly will not "suck" in the wet. Dollar for dollar it's very tough to beat.
