The stock 2-1/4" inside of 3" exhaust tips just aren't really that cool. If I had unlimited funds I would have gone with SPL or similar 4" single wall slash cut tips. but I'm on a budget and tips don't make it go any faster.
I got these SS, rolled edge, 2-1/2" to 3-1/2", 12" long tips from Jegs for $25. Ideally I needed a 2-1/4 to 4", 14 long but those don't exist. I welded on a small piece of 2-1/2 tubing over the stock winkled and crinkled tail pipe to adapt to these 2-1/2 ID tips. They would look a little better if the slash angle was steeper.
