245/45/17 On A 17x9 Will It Work??

It'll fit the wheel just fine, it won't look stretched what looks stretched is a 245/40/17 I know from experience, when you look at the rim and tire, the tire won't bulge past the rim. It'll be straight up and down. I like the 275/40/17 better though imo.

What about 285/40s on a 17x9 on the rear? I'm running 245/45/17s all around right now but I've seen a few guys post that they are running 285/40s...of course that could be on a 17x10 instead of 9, but will it work on a 9?

275/40 is the best size for a 9" rim...on a 10" I'd try to fit a 295 or 315.

I ran 315/35 Nitto drag radials on 17x9" rim, but they are smaller than a regular 315.
