I am debating a set of wheels and they come only in a 10.5 width in 20 inch diameter.
I am trying to find a decent (not awesome michellin too expensive) summer only tires that will fit nice and square on the rim, no stretching or bulging tires.
Any idea what might work the best?
I was thinking 285/30/20, not sure if that would get the best fitment.
What are your tire recommendations? (again please no Michellins, not in my price range :( )

Maybe a 295/35/20 Nitto Invo

I think a 305/35/20 MT steet comp might work too on a 10.5 rim without looking too wide.

I had the brembo wheels and went to the 305/35/20 and my speedo is only off by 2mph at 70. I don't think its a big deal and if you have a tuner it can be calibrated.

I assume you have 3.73s with the brembo package right?

Sorry just noticed your sig, I think the 295 would be best especially with sportlines. 305 may be too much with that drop, 285 is a bit thin even on the 10" amr wheels I have seen. I guess it's personal preference though.

Thanks for the advice.
Yeah I was worried that the 285 might be a little bit too thin... damn it, I am worried that the 295 might contact the fender.

I am running 20x10.5 ET45 at all 4 corners (w/3mm H&R spacer up front to clear the Brembos). 285/30 up front, 305/30 in back, PSS (sorry I know you said no Michelins but there aren't a whole lot of options if you want to stay close to 27" diameter tires). I am lowered on KW coilovers.

The 285 front PSS, which is wider than most other brands 285, almost looks stretched to be honest. There is plenty of clearance to the strut and to the trimmed swaybar bolt up front so possibly you could run a 295/30 up front.

Let me know if you have any questions. Paul@Howey Industries was a huge help in deciding wheel/tire sizes. I wanted good grippy tires and am very happy with the PSSs so far so if you do choose to spend the money, you will be happy.

Sorry my suggestions of 295 is for the rears, maybe I didn't read this right to start? You are doing 10.5 up front also?

KBBoss, believe me... I want the michellins lol but like I said, out of the price range and I need tires badly already... so it's not just a matter of saving up a little longer. Otherwise I absolutely would.

I just went through this myself, I wanted to stay as close to stock total wheel/tire height as my Brembos, but I was limited to INVOs.

I ended up with Nitto INVO 275/35 on my 10.5s. There is a little stretch, but the total height is 27.6, the stock Pirellli are 27.2.

285/30 was only 26.7.

My wheels are 20x9.5 35 offset and 20x10.5 45 offset. My current tires are Nitto 555 255/35 and 285/30. They are a little bit stretched for me. I am looking at getting Michelin PSS in 275/35 and 305/30. My car is using Eibach Pro springs with the stock bump stops. Am I going to be okay with these PSS tires?

My car is being mentioned in post# 11 in this thread.

Only issue I see with that 275/305 combo is that your front tires will be .4" taller than the rears. I personally wouldn't do that. If you want those 275/35s for the front, then maybe consider the 295/35 rear?

I am open to using 265/35 and 305/30. The 265 is at 27.3 and the 305 is at 27.2. Do you think the 305/30 will not pose any rubbing problem and will it sit outside the fender?

I am running the same FF01 20x10.5 ET45s are you with the 305/30/20 PSS and I am lowered (but not slammed) on coilovers. No issues so far but it is a close fit. I only have a few hundred miles on them so far but am very happy with the wheels and tires.

Does the rear wheel stick out from the fender? Have any pic you can post?

Does not stick out and unfortunately I have no pics. Widest edge of sidewall is basically flush with fender but since top of tire curves in slightly, it doesn't rub. I have not bottomed the suspension out, though, so I am reluctant to say 100% that it won't rub.

I always tell people to talk to Paul@Howey Industries because he is so helpful. He has other customers using same setup with no issues I believe.

If you scroll down, this guy is running the 305/30/20 PSS on the FF01s:

I think you just sold me on the 305/30 rear tire. Might get the 275/35 tire. .4 of an inch doesn't bother me.

Thanks..
