I was looking at 15-18 Chevy/GMC trucks, 10Sp F-150s and the 19 Rams. The interior set it apart from the rest(at time of comparison). Bighorn>XLT, Laramie > Lariat, Longhorn > King Ranch etc.. Chevy/GMC is stuck in 2008 interior wise, and the lack of rear AC vents was a huge negative. Ford has a nice clean interior, and I did prefer a real shifter over the rotary one. I use those internal ram bins a lot. Tools, random stuff for work etc. The reclining rear seats are a plus. The quality of the materials is nicer. Biggest cabin in the segment IIRC comes in handy with kids. I knew going into it the Ram was going to be the biggest headache in terms of modding. From computer to the internals not being boost friendly. But, that's fine with me as I will keep it relatively stock as it'll be my mileage eater. The 8 speed is smooth and quickly learns your driving style. Still wish they offered a sport mode though. Besides, with the TR/TRX around the corner, no need to dump money on a 5.7L when a 7.0 and 6.2 SC are a year or two out. Close to 9k miles on mine in 6 months and it's been a good DD.
