Luckly for the Raptor they got the 410s. Im sure its to compensate for the bigger tires. Still wouldn't mind having it as an option for the whole F150 line. Especially if you plan to lift the truck and put bigger tires on it. I remember the 11-14 with 5.0 and 3.73 were dogs when lifted and bigger tires. Not enough gear. For 15-16 im sure the only reason you could only go up to 3.55 was to meet the mpg with the 6speed auto. People wanted to still get 3.73. The lighter body also helped with mpg and ofcourse made it faster. Even the ecoboost could always use gears if your hauling or towing. Or live up in the mountains. I do understand the super 8.8 is upgraded and thats only because it needs to able to handle the extra tq and load of the new trucks, the old 8.8 just wont cut it. Its only there for the fuel economy and cheaper cost. But really the 9.75 didnt really seem to hurt mpg. The 11-14 with the 5.0 and 3.73 were still getting 21mpg on the freeway. I dont remember if the 15-16 had the HD payload option. Maybe someone else could answer that. But i know the payload on the 15-16 were not even close to the HD payload of the 11-14. Its less on the 15-16. I think the 17s had the HD payload with 3.5ecoboost and 5.0. Now on the 2018 looks like the 2.7, 3.5,5.0 all have the HD payload option with 3.73
