Looked to be moving quite a bit faster than that Porsche for sure. Amazing the caliber of "pony" cars these days.
Was it me or did it sound pretty tame or is just because I expect all new cars to sound as good as the GT350?
But it doesn't sound that good....
Sounds fine to me...Not to mention the big HP motor it's pack'n.
Agree. Hellcat, ZL-1, Z/28, GT350, GT500 compete on their own stage. Just wait for the 2018 Hellcat ADR (American Drag Racer). Big numbers.

lol, on what half the track? the Porsche 918 runs 6:57-59 on the ring. i have no doubt the ZL1 will be fast, but its not a sub 7 second ring car.
I've seen a few 6th gens in person roaming the streets of Michigan. Much improved look and the weight loss is huge. This version of the ZL1/Z28 should be a lot faster.

Now this ZL1 will actually be able to compete with a 2013 GT500.
As someone who's seen a few on the street as well, there's no mistaking it for a 5th gen, much improved IMO.

Yea, sounds mean. DIdnt hear a whine either so this may be a z28. Shifting sounded quick as hell, I expect this to either match or be faster than a GT35/R.
It looks strong. It held up well in the corners
It did sound like the new auto. Those upshifts were quick. What better way to promote the 8 speed with a good ring time.
