Hello,

I just recently purchased a 2017 Mustang GT Performance Pack and I have an issue which I don't know if it's normal or not.

I have noticed at slow speeds(5-20mph) I sometimes get a popping/clunk noise that comes from the rear. It mostly does it as I am making 90 degree turns.

I recently lowered the car with Eibach Pro kit springs and I can't tell if I had the noise before I installed the springs. Car was lowered 2 days after I bought it brand new.

I already double checked the springs and everything is in place.

Any ideas???

Pretty sure this is a characteristic of the Torsen differential if I am not mistaken. I just picked up a 2017 Grabber Blue GT Premium with the Performance Package and mine makes the same sounds on occasion under the same conditions.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Tim

I heard it too on my new 2017 Premium Performnace.

I have the exact same noise coming from the same area.

Sounds more like popping plastic or sheet metal that is affected by temps.

Idk, it's baffling, thought I heard it when I was sitting at a red light.

Incidentally my Kia makes the exact same noise coming from the back. Never did figure it out. I thought it was from Sirius popping the audio or from Android Auto.

Those are the common denominators anyway.
