Ford is enabling apple carplay and android auto on your vehicles with an update.

I still need to get a new usb hub to get carplay to work though.

It should work already with Sync 3. Apple car play needs a wired connection. Android Auto works with bluetooth

I have to plug my Android in to have Android auto work. It connects via Bluetooth, but you can't run apps that way.

I went to update the sync3 in my wife's 2016 escape (non nav) and got the dreaded "not enough memory" (can't remember the exact error phrase). Tried 5 updates and got the message every time. Seems like this is a common occurrence from what other message boards say

I am hoping to figure out how to get it to update. I really want to be able to swap the USB hub and get apple CarPlay to work.

Anyone have issues with media player only using Gracenote album art even with it disabled using the latest update?

Seems to be a common issue and it's really annoying.
