2015 Z06 stripes...

Soooo we have a new Z06 in for a tire....customer picked up a nail....but anyone notice what's wrong with the stripes. Even if it is a 85k dollar car, still just a Chevy i guess

Not really seeing anything spectacular that pops out. Some slight misalignment maybe?

The emblem is just off a bit from the stripes. No biggie.

Yeah they are misaligned all the way back...the rear is even worse. Just not something I would put up with on a car that cost this much, yes I know they are just stickers..but still.

Are they vinyl or paint? I wonder if they are hand applied or machine applied? Something ive always wondered about factory cars with stripes.

lll be honest though, when doing stripes for my 02 GT, they are a MOTHER****ER to get right. I probably spent a good week every night with masking tape figuring out the right widths, offsets, taper, etc.

Better not ever look at a new Ferrari. The few that I have seen have some pretty shocking QC misses.

You could probably bitch about this enough to the right dealer, and get a warranty claim out of it.

They are vinyl....and there are even a bunch of like smudges in the finish off them, along with several fiberglass dimples lol

I agree. I have never seen a Vette where the stripes look good.

Just throwing it out there that it's a possibility the stripes were done either at the dealer or by a local business. You can get stripe kits from GM for these and many times they are dealer installed.
