Brace Yourself
BMR Suspension’s new front chassis brace reduces S550 K-member deflection

Mustangs are built to perform, but they are also mass-produced street cars. That means there are limitation to how far engineers can take the car in the name of performance. So when you start to push your car in a performance environment some things may move and flex.

Fortunately there are no such restraints on the aftermarket and BMR Suspension continues to augment the S550 platform with chassis and suspension upgrades. The latest is a lower chassis brace designed to bolster the factory K-member against deflection from lateral loads.

“Built from heavy-duty rectangular steel tubing, BMR’s CB006 Chassis Brace is designed to support and stiffen the factory S550 K-member and front suspension,” says the company. “This increases steering feel and stability during aggressive maneuvering…”

BMR’s brace does so by tying the front lower control arm mounts and the rear K-member legs together. It installs easily using existing boltholes and it is designed to clear both the factory exhaust manifolds and aftermarket headers.

You can learn more about the brace right here...

The brace is available in both of the company’s signature powdercoat finishes red and hammertone for $99.95. If you have any questions, you can check out the company’s original thread here.

You can strengthen your 2015+ Mustang’s factory K-member in about an hour by bolting on BMR Suspension’s new Front Chassis Brace (PN CB006; $99.95).
