Since I bought the car back on 2013 I was not big fan of the rear brakes look. I have been searching for cost effective options and wondering if we could utilize the 2011 to 2012 4 piston front brake on the rear. The salvage yards has some wrecked gt500 where I can buy theses brakes for good price. The question is what do I need other than the rotors and calipers and will it work and cleared the back rim.

There is also other option of upgrading the front brakes to 2020 gt500 or 2016 and up gt350 and utilizing the factory 6 piston on the back. of course this option is valid only if I found the brakes on good price.

One persons opinion only but I am not 100% sure that Brembo front would fit out back disk brakes for straight axles? Could be wrong. Baer and wilwood make a kit, I’d be interested in learning more if you could retro fit brembo but it’s something I’ve never seen before.

i’m not sure you can put the Brembo on the back. I did the Shelby Wilwood conversion front and back. I remember the rear conversion was much more difficult to do because of the rear parking brake.

I will say the conversion was worth it.
