My son bought him a 2014 Ram R/T truck single cab that he thinks is the fastest thing on the road.

He ended up lining up with his brother-in-law that owns a 2012 F-150 Ecoboost.
From a dig they get a pretty even start, dead even to about 55-60 than the Ford starts creaping ahead.
They shut down about 100 with the Ford about 1/2 car length ahead.
Dodge has an Airaid CAI.
Ford is bone stock, also Ford is crew cab.

Not bad for a little V-6

What gears does the eco have? I have a Lariat with 3.31s. My son just got an FX2 with, I think 3.15 gears. Both are super crews. We have not lined up yet. Those with 3.55 or 3.73s should be brisk.

I've got a bone stock '12 Ecoboost F150 Supercrew 4x2 with 3.55's. Seems the only people that EVER want to play are the Hemi equipped Rams - ALL of which have found their way into my rearview mirror QUICKLY!

Those ecoboosts are quick trucks, I got one to race me in my 01 f150 and I think he put about half a block on me. Not that my ole 5.4 is fast I just wanted to see how bad I would get killed.

I saw a new regular cab 2wd Tremor at SGMP a few weeks ago, best pass was 14.99@93. I was expecting a low 14 sec pass, the heat was definitely having it's effect.

I have a 3.73 fx4 Screw ecoboost, thing tears it up out of the hole. I reamed a few older sports cars stoplight to stoplight with it. I got ran down in the top end at 85 mph by the brother in laws loaded tundra, but he had to work HARD to catch me. I love towing with it too, just insane how easy it pulls.

My 5.0 screw has hurt a few feelings too but I haven't ran a Ecoboost yet. I will say I am very happy with the power it makes ( for a truck) and I aveage 20.1 MPGs DDing it.

My 13 Screw ecoboost is fun to drive and feels a lot faster than my 92 5.0 did when it was stock LOL

I've ran a 5.0 like mine, I took him out of the hole and then up top. But not by a whole lot, 5.0 is STOUT in any form. Period, end of discussion. Although, a tune...that...makes a ecoboost a whole other beast. Those v6 r/t's are a beast because of a good little sixxer coupled with low low weight for a smaller truck. Put it in a Screw sized pickup and it won't go so well.

Ram R/T has a 5.7L V8.

Nothing short of a tremor has a chance on beating a newer ram reg cab r/t with the 8 speed auto. Even then the tremor would lose

There is this guy in my town who thinks he is hot stuff with his Stock RT. Thinks he can beat anything on the road but he barely pulled on a 2010 four door tune only ram lol.
