2014 GT500 with what the dealer described as a rod knock. The owner purchased the vehicle thinking that it was a valvetrain issue and low and behold it was the chain tensioner. Interesting video on an issue I've never seen. Watch the entire video but the action starts around 9:25.
Cliff notes: The chain tensioner is hitting against the casting and not allowing it to freely move. Factory defect? Seems like something that would be pretty common among Trinity motors if it was but its the first I've heard of it. Spoke with the owner today and the car runs and drives great now!
