Your friend is an idiot. at 30psi with that turbo he should net more than 550 especially with a stroker .

Yup, a stock block Evo with that turbo and 30psi will make 550+whp.

A friend just finished a 905 AWHP Evo 8 build with a English Racing 4G63 based 2.2 stroker, and PT billet 6466. pretty trick setup with boost by gear, and a flex fuel setup that adjusts the tune based on fuel. I believe his grand total was $12,000 but the car already had the ETS turbo kit, and certain supporting mods. The only bad thing about the EVOs, and STis is that they are just not very reliable at big power levels but at 400 plus AWHP a liter it is to be expected.

Agreed. I made close to that on a 2.3 with a 3582 at 30psi on pump gas. With old style HKS 264/272 cams and no other head work. The 6262 is a NICE turbo.
