Hello all, Recently I purchased the Armageddon kit for my 2014 Sterling Gray GT. It's a 6R80 auto car with stock 3.15 rear gears, Circle D 2B converter, DSS carbon fiber drive shaft, complete BMR suspension with K member and radiator support. Also have Strange single adjustable struts/shocks. New mods will include Armageddon twin GT3076R turbos, ID1000 injectors, TSS oil pump gears, Boss 302 manifold, and MSD fuel pump booster. Engine will remain stock, with the exception of oil pump gear upgrade, until next winter. Then I will install a forged roller assembly with return style fuel system. I wanted to create this thread as a "home built" project, not professional shop. I have yet to see a thread about this kit installed at home. Let's go ahead and throw up some teaser pics of my progress. This will have been a three week process when this phase is complete. Powder Coating by a local in the Pensacola area (Rollin' Coatz). Color is called Kingsport Grey from Prismatic, and it closely resembles Sterling Gray. Slightly darker, however, closer than anything else I have seen. Christmas came 1 month early this year. Sir, would you please put that down in the garage. Thank you! Two identical sized boxes, combined weight of ~150 lbs. Crikey! Thank you Amsoil! I decided not to install the new windshield washer tank since I always kept the stock bottle empty. This is a Saturday night only driven car, with the occasional drag strip trip. It's always clean. I have to say one thing about this kit, the engineering put into all the brackets, hoses, and fittings are above and beyond. I remember when you had to build you own stuff, source your own material, to complete a kit. I've never seen any company put this much R&D into a turbo kit. This is what you get for the added $$$$. Prepped the oil pan for welding AN10 turbo oil return connections. It's matte, but who needs pretty on an oil pan? Oil pump removed, some moisture contamination from the water pump housing. It's OK, I have cheap Motorcraft 5W-20 with FL500 filter ready for test start, leak detection, and short test drive. This will remove any moisture or dirt from the engine before I put Amsoil RD30 Dominator in the sump. Since I will not have a boost controller with the stock engine, setting wastegates @ 8 PSI, I wanted something to warn me. Have the crank balancer, starter, and A/C compressor mounted back up also. Taking things slow, making sure I do not mess anything up. 11/12/14 - Today, not much visual changed, as I was working on little things like new sparks plugs (NGK TR7 iridium), pulleys and belt, fuel and evap lines, etc. The powder coating on all cold parts is beautiful. This is the passenger side cold pipe to the intercooler. I did install the passenger side compressor housing, and tolerances are tight. Fuse distribution center is relocated with custom bracket. Wiring relocation is complete. Driver side turbo manifold is bitchy today, she must be "on the rag." More pics tomorrow when I have made more progress.
