Unless you are buying the 2013 under MSRP, go with the 2014.

These cars are depreciating assets, don't hold on to it thinking you are going to make any sort of profit down the road.

I don't know if i agree with this completely. I went with a '13 because I got it $3500 under sticker with PP,TP and Recaro and good colors. I could have bought a non-desirable colored '14 at $500 under sticker but I started studying the auction reports on the older model Shelbys and when the cars are the same model, the year doesn't make much difference in price.

For example I would say 5 years from a 2013 Shelby with 50,000 miles might bring say $40,000 (totally random guess at value) and a 20143 with the same miles MIGHT bring $41,000 (again a totally random guess at value) but my point is there won't be much a difference in price between different year and similar miles.

I know I didn't do the best job explaining my theory, but what I decided is that for the same miles the a 2014 will bring a MAX of $2000 more than a 2013 several years from now. I honestly think the number will be closer to $1000 or maybe less for these two years for various reasons, but I went with $2000 to be safe. Therefore I went with a 2013 at $3500 off sticker compared to a 2014 at $500 off sticker.

This is all just my opinion from my own research using the manheim auction reports, I could be wrong so don't get mad if the bottom falls out of the 2013 and the 2014 increases in value for some odd reason.

I think the '13-14s will be very similar and grouped together much like the '03-'04 Cobras are. I'd gladly have either MY GT500 in my garage.

Here’s to reviving a 6 year old thread... I found this post trying to figure out the differences in the two years as I’m looking to buy. It’s clear most commenters here had/have convertibles. I am only looking fir a convertible, must have svtpp, and electronics package (nav). Anyone know where I could find a super low mileage? Preferences going to ruby red, candy red, black or lastly race red, but will consider other colors.
