Bought: 12/25/12

Reef Blue Metallic
Black Leather Interior
2.0 Turbo
DSG Transmission
Dealer Installed Tint: 25% driver passenger/driver 20% rear/quarters

Mods: Upcoming/Future

APR Stage 1 ECU tune
APR Stage II Carbonio intake
APR 3" downpipe
Borla Catback Exhaust
50-shot nitrous
BBS wheels

My wife was sold on it instantly after the first test drive! The car had 33 miles when we took it off the lot and now has 245 miles after some "spirited-driving" :)

The car is mainly for my wife to putt around town and drive to work and back, but I think I may snag the car from her every once in a while. Even more-so after the list of mods I've got planned. :rolling:

It's ghey. I hope you're kidding with the mod list..

I don't think even the Arnold Schwarzenegger exhaust would help you out on this one...

Since it's a VW I would put the mod money towards an extended warranty.

Throwing all that money into modding a BEETLE seems pretty ridiculous to me....but hey, it's your money.

Leave it stock, OP! Seriously! If your wife was happy with it when you guys took it off of the lot then just let it be, sir...

There really is no need to modify a Beetle...:poke:

Best of luck. The 2.0T is a great motor. The stage 1 ECU flash is a must for them.

I have an APR stage 3 mk6 11 GTI as my daily, also DSG(love the shift burble)
Has taken down,c6 vettes,11+5.0's,bolt on terminators. You no the usual high ego typical V8 guys.

I think they are neat little cars and your turbo should be as easy to mod as a GTi, some of which are pretty damn quick.

We bought one (2.5L, not 2.0T) for my wife about a yr ago and after 10k miles, the only issue has been with the window motors, which is well documented. Other than that, no problems, though we DO have an extended warranty.:uh oh:

It's the first foreign car we've had, and while I think the seats are a bit hard, I've only driven it like 4 times, so it's not an issue for me. Once you are moving along, the car feels like you are going slower than you are, which is a good thing (except for getting tickets) You look down and you had no idea you were flying around 80mph. Hopefully it and your's will hold up well. I think they are a lot of car for the $$.

Love your GTI. How much did the full stage 3 kit cost?

I like them, but my aunt just had to get rid of her Jetta. She bought it in 2011 and had it in 17 times before they lemon lawed it.
