What's so special about these? They look like regular cracked cap cast rods to me? :shrug:
They are upgraded over the previous 500 rods, which have been able to stand up too quite high power levels, 1 I know personally runs a 4.0 l whipple at 23 lbs of boost and runs 9.9x. In a 2010 manual gt500

There is very little difference in these rods and the 07-12 rods. Same strength, taper at top of small/piston end and an oiling hole for the piston wrist pin.
I don't know if they would last without the proper pistons.
Would these be an upgrade for the stock f150 rods?
Yes they are better than the stock rods. I have a lightning set laying around too but they are the same as any other f150
