I understand there are two different types of center sections, one a clutch type and the other a worm gear type. Here are the numbers on the sticker S217A1234904200 Under it is this number S217-A . Any help on this would be great. Thanks

According to his profile, he owns a 2011 GT, so I guess he has found a 2013 GT500 rear axle and wants to confirm the diff.

Do you know if the car is a performance package or not that it came out of?

From my understanding he actually found a 2013 GT500 rear axle that has had the axle tubes cut off of it for sale, so he only has these numbers that the seller is giving him to try to identify it by. Before he buys it he'd like to know if it has the Gleason Torsion 2 differential or the standard posi with clutch packs.

I would have the seller take the rear cover off and send me a couple of pictures of the differential assembly.

Here are a couple of pictures of the Torsen carrier.

The only thing I know is the numbers that is on the sticker. It is a 3.31 gear ratio. Its not going in the gt car. I working on a 1993 for lightning number 118. We are in the process of installing a 06 crown vic front suspension with a 4 link rear suspension, lowering the truck 5 to 6 inches. Powered by 2011 5.0 coyote with the 6r80 trans. That is why I'm asking for info on this piece. Again, any help would be great and thanks to everybody's help so far.

I see most of the people on here have shelby gt500s. I had a shelby, first car drove legally on the road. That is what I drove to high school some 42 years ago. 1967 shelby gt500, 427 ci 2x4s and a 4 speed. Before anybody says anything I bought the car from the first owner, I don't know if he had the engine swapped out or if it was one of three that shelby built, but it was a 427 and I have a lot of knowledge on that engine. I wrenched on a 427 SOHC [cammer] that was blown and injected on alcohol. We ran top alcohol with a front motored car. Those were the days

This is a picture of the label on my car. There maybe another label on the housing, but I can't get under the car to check.
2013 GT500 with PP & TP - Torsen differential and cooler.
I hope it helps.

The codes above the long number may be the components used to assemble the rear end, Maybe someone has access to the code sheet needed to intrepid the information.
