Some information for the 2010 GT500 folks:

There are a couple of implications for this install:

First, you can't get TrackApps and Launch Control working. The main reason is, that you have a different PCM.
The 2010 ABS module talks GDS protocol with the PCM, while 2011+ talk GGDS protocol.
The 2010's don't have wideband O2's. They also do not have the EPAS. The 2011+ ABS relies on EPAS for the steering wheel position switch (through CAN-Bus, not through 2 extra PINs on the ABS module connector).

So, if you leave your PCM in the car, you can have the cluster working, but without:
- Steering feel
- Launch Control
- TrackApps
In order to get it running, you need the cluster, the steering wheel switch modified to get your cruise working, and the blackbox from www.zeroaviation.com. That blackbox will display IAT and OIL Temp in the gauge, if you have a 3rd party wideband O2, you can use the analog inputs of the blackbox to get that displayed also.

If you want full 2013+ functionality, you need to do the following:
-2013 PCM
-2013 ABS module
-2011+ GT500 EPAS
-2011+ GT500 Engine harness
-2011+ GT500 front O2 sensors
-2011+ GT500 battery harness
-2011+ GT500 front pulleys to replace power steering pump with new FEAD belt
-2011+ GT500 Engine cradle/K-Member (unless you weld the additional bracket on yourself)
Once all installed and wired up correctly, follow BES instructions to get it flashed and your tune applied. Note: nobody did this yet, so there might be some other things like swapping PINs to the PCM etc, that need to be done - this information is based on current research, so it may not be 100% complete)

I agree, other than LEXiiON and Tob, not to many people are willing to put their cars through such extensive surgery. If I had a 2010 or older, I would part it out, sell the mods and return it to stock so I could sell it. You could get into a 2013 for $50k. Maybe I would keep a few of my mods if I could retrofit them.... lol

Glad to see good progress on your end LEXiiON. I know there will be a few guys that will follow your lead.

That's an option. But think about this: You do suspension mod's and want to upgrade to a tubular K-member. Get the 2011+ version (it is the same, except for that EPAS bracket).. one problem solved. Used EPAS run about $350... ABS module $194, PCM $400, engine harness $300, pulleys, belts, maybe around $100, battery harness around $200..., O2 sensors about $60 each
So that's around $2200 plus the cluster and switches... probably you will run around $3000 for the whole thing..
What do you get? around 1mpg better gas milage (not that's worth mentioning, but...), adjustable steering, launch control, TrackApps, the LCD with gauges, upgraded K-member (e.g. BMR or similar - offsets some weight from the 2010 iron 5.4) and a lot of experience with your car :D

It might be just easier to sell the 2010 and get a 2011... but, then you still need the cluster, switch, tune etc... so i guess, either stick with the 2010 or go straight to a 2013+ :D

$3k and a lot of ass pain. I would just through that down with the down payment on the 13 GT500. I paid $400 for the cluster shipped, $25 for the switched shipped, $159 for the VCM II shipped (it's paid for itself 10 times over already and works on all Ford's), $194 for the ABS module shipped, $50 in miscellaneous stuff and my tune update for the new Strategy on the 2014 PCM.
So $829 plus the tune is what this modification cost me, but I got s bada$$ cluster with gauges, track apps and Launch Control. Not to mention it was pretty easy as it doesn't take much labor, it's all plug in play other than the two taps.

What year do you own again? Hopefully you took pictures to back this up, it sure sounds like a lot of work. '15 = end of the retros, plus I hear the '15 is GAINING weight? Not sure what that is all about, but if so wow.

I have a 2011 GT500. What about this install sounds like a pain in the ass? Pictures of what? The install?

I was joking about adding the 2015 cluster. I've seen blueeyedsnake 2011 gt500 with the 2013-14 gt500 cluster install in person.

I guess the easiest way is the boss PMI on the PCM with a standard tune.
The challenge would be to get the Track Key.

I've been talking to both Jon Lunds about it and that's essentially what they need. For someone to have a stock pcm, have the boss fw Installed, then pull that tune put via SCT.

They suggest to not do this remotely, as it would make it far easier for them, but sadly I'm not just around the corner lol.

I don't see getting the track key a challenge. I see it as the money tree in the backyard needs to Htfu and grow me more LOL!

BTW, here's my proof in case anybody has questions! ;)

I think if you do the Boss PMI, then all you need is any key because Track key is an option in IDS via the VCM II tool. I like to think that it's like a MyKey kind of thing that the PATS communicates to the PCM to turn on with the different tune when it detects the track key. The thing is knowing what logic the Boss and new 2014 5.0's are running in order to be able to load the tune and have it activate Launch Control and everything else it does.

That's pretty sweet. I'd never try to tackle that though even if I could on mine. I'd love to just own a 13-14 someday.

I could do this in an hour it's so easy. There is no way I would sell my car just to buy a 2013, doesn't make sense to me. I have all the features they do now and this cost me under $1K to do. I understand that every person has their own style for modding. I just wanted to let people know it was possible even though Ford said it wasn't.
